Ciolandrea

Located in Italy's last undiscovered, unspoiled area - literally stunning -  The Gulf of Policastro & The Cilento National Park.  Ciolandrea, a new location -  A natural  terrace  overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea  discovered by the Cilento National Park.  It is just to the south of the Amalfi coast; however, much easier, cheaper, and faster to get to - excellent high-speed road and rail service from Naples  (many airlines) and Lamezia Terme (Ryan Air & Alitalia).

 
It was an old abandoned area that was used for clay pigeon shooting. It now has  become a stunning terrace overlooking the wonders of Cilento. The  municipal administration of San Giovanni a Piro in collaboration with the Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park invested in the cleaning up and renovating of the area.  They have  created  one of the most scenic and enchanting  places for wedding ceremonies  in the area  in Cilento where it is possible to admire the Gulf of Policastro, the Tyrrhenian Basilicata; coast of Maratea, Calabria and on clear days Sicily with Stromboli and the Aeolian Islands.
 
It is, they say “Heaven on Earth”.  A place that has also impressed the Minister of the Environment; Sergio Costa who when cut the ribbon for the inauguration of the terrace. He said, “It is  one of the most beautiful places in Italy…… of extraordinary beauty”   Costa also said - We are working on an Italy Country Park and this will be at the top of the list.  This will  bring well-being to our area and should  not make our young people flee abroad looking for something different when we have so many resources and beauty here!
