Relais Castel Bigozzi is the ideal place for an intimate countryside wedding in a secluded hidden area in Tuscany just about a half hour away from Siena.
The original structure at Castel Bigozzi dates from the 13th century. Its thick stone walls and expansive grounds overlooking the surrounding countryside are evidence of its history as a fortified aristocratic residence. It has been renovated into a hotel residence. This hotel is one of the oldest buildings in the area. In the Middle Ages this castle belonged to the ancestors of noble Montanini family.
The Relais offers 17 rooms (9 suites & 8 classic rooms) furnished with antique furniture, but comfortable modern bathrooms. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, mini-bar, satellite TV, safe, bath or shower.
In the suggestive olive grove that surrounds the castle, guests can also enjoy a refreshing dip in the swimming pool. They have a small spa with sauna and a room for massages, manis and pedis where the guests can pamper themselves. They have acres of property where you can take long walks through their farmland, among the gentle hills of Monteriggioni immersed in a surreal, almost heavenly peaceful atmosphere, you will be able to walk for hours in the woods or along the country roads that leads to Siena. Strove, Monteriggioni is home to the famous road - via Francigena- only 2 kilometers away from the location.
